Dr. Mastronardi was born and raised locally. He attended high school in Leamington and graduated first in his class. He then went on to receive his Honours Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry before accepting admission into the prestigious Optometry program at the University of Waterloo. The University of Waterloo Optometry program is the only English language program in the entire country and reserves its admissions for only the most qualified candidates. It was there that he met his wife and business partner, Dr. Jean O'Connor. They opened a practice in Windsor in 2001 and then Kingsville in 2002. Dr. Mastronardi works very closely with his colleagues in ophthalmology having worked at several LASIK centres and still working with a local retinal specialist. Drs. Mastronardi and O'Connor split their time between these two practices, their three children, various hobbies and their extended family. Their practice is conveniently located in beautiful downtown Kingsville and caters to all members of the public offering high quality, high technology eye care, advanced ophthalmological care, a vast array of both designer and budget frame styles, contact lens services and an in house optical laboratory.
